Ian had our 1 year old cocker spaniel for 1 week of residential training, to focus on recall and loose lead walking. The results are amazing, he used to pull that hard he was walking on his back legs only and was always on a long lead in open spaces, today we enjoyed a walk with no pulling at all then perfect recall when off lead even with other dogs around. I had daily updates of his progress which were great to show the kids. Overall very happy with the service and would highly recommend.

IBK9 has changed our life’s for the better, we travelled down from scotland and dropped our 2 cocker spaniels both around 9 months old and 3 weeks later they went from pulling on the lead and making themselves sick to walking at our heel on and off lead. in busy surroundings they can be let off there leads and come back no bother at all. would highly recommend IBK9 training to anyone thinking of improving there dogs.

We have just completed our handover with our Staffy Nelly following her 3 week residential training and cannot recommend IBK9 enough. Nelly is now a completely different dog in social environments and fully able to enjoy off-leash freedom now following Ian’s training. However, what has also really pleased us is that we still see that Nelly’s personality and “bubblyness” is still there – just now more manageable!

Beyond the incredible results, something I’d like to call out personally is Ian’s communication throughout – he shared daily progress videos and tips/tricks throughout Nelly’s stay, which give comfort and a feeling of involvement in the process which is brilliant. Now the onus is on us to build on the foundations that Ian has helped establish, but knowing that we are able to stay in touch with Ian for life is comforting for advice/support as we move forward.

If you are thinking about sending your dog to Ian to train, DO IT.

Off-lead walks simply weren’t possible before — now her recall is reliable and I can trust her. The freedom it’s given both of us is huge. She’s more settled, more focused and clearly thriving.

Ian kept us updated throughout, and we’ve seen such a positive change in her behaviour since bringing her home. Couldn’t recommend enough 10/10.

Just got Martin back home today. He’s a sprocker – extremely hyper and notorious for pulling on the lead as well as being the most ball driven dog I’ve seen.

We’ve just took him for our first walk and he walks off the lead by my side, his re-call is 10/10 and I couldn’t be happier he’s like a totally different dog.

Ian has had our 11month old reactive Rottweiler at his home for the last 3 weeks and has given us daily videos and updates on her progress. I’ve felt like a proud mumma seeing them. Coco was excited to see and play with every dog and person we came across on our walks to the point she lunged and dragged us up the road to get to them, weighing in at 45kg it was hard to keep her on the lead to the point she tore muscles in my husbands shoulder. Now she’s walking to heel, on and off the lead, walking past dogs and people while maintaining her position and looking at us for direction. On the handover Ian explained how to continue this amazing training and has offered to be contacted as long as we require guidance and tips. Without the assistance of Ian and his wife we would have not been able to enjoy our girl and keep her safe and happy. They say money can’t buy you happiness but seeing how happy Coco is to be walking along side us and enjoying her walks it was well worth it. She’s still her goofy self but with more self control. We can’t thank Ibk9training enough. If your thinking of using any Trainer I believe Ian and his training is the best.

We stopped off-lead walking with our 20 month old GSD last year because of her behaviour and lack of recall. She has just finished a residential with Ian and the transformation is amazing. Perfect recall, obedient and impeccable heeling off-lead. Thanks Ian, superb job!

I rescued a young lurcher x saluki who was a lovely boy but who had only had basic training. He was very strong on the lead and had no recall. I love to walk in the countryside and just did not want a dog of mine to not be able to be off lead and be able to run and play. A couple of months in my friend recommended Ian, I knew we were in good hands from the first lesson. Ian is patient (especially with the owner) and very quiet and clear with the dog. My dog is now excellent on the lead and has brilliant recall. Thanks to Ian he can now be off lead completely, whether I am out in the country, on a beach or in a local park with lots of other dogs. I would highly recommend Ian and both myself and Chase are extremely grateful to him.
